Southern Coalition for Social Justice’s North Carolina Zoning 101 toolkit is an educational community resource developed by the Environmental Justice team. In addition to addressing zoning’s racist roots, the toolkit aims to help communities understand the zoning process, options for progressive zoning policies, and ways the public can advocate for their needs.

The toolkit’s illustrations were designed to inform the public about the impact of zoning on communities in a visually compelling and tasteful way.
